The programme modules can accommodate more on course time, different time frames and can include a variety of regions such as   Kwa-Zulu Natal in a ‘3 Cities Tour’ which includes Durban, Cape Town and Sun City, and extended trip along the Garden Route and alternative destinations such as Swaziland, Botswana, Mauritius and the Seychelles.

Excellent golf courses and hotels are available throughout southern Africa.
Each venue has been selected to provide the best combination of course, practice and functions’ facilities.
A Safari Golf Tour venue will provide most of the following.
  • A championship class course; most of the courses have, or do host full PGA tour events.
  • Practice facilities, which incorporate both a golf driving range and short game areas and which have resident qualified instructors.
  • A fully stocked retail outlet and catering from snack meals to formal dinners.
  • Most golf courses will have hotels on site or access to 4 star plus hotel facilities in the immediate area.

Each programme’s final budget is tailor made and determined by various factors including the number of guests, choice of venue, type of functions and activities, etc.

The ‘safari’ elements of our golf tours are overseen by Albert Driescher from Perception Travel.

Albert started his career in conservation in the mid 1980’s as a junior ranger working for the former Natal Parks Board in Zululand on the North Coast and Drakensberg areas of the province. He then worked as a conservation officer for the South African Defence Force at various training areas across South Africa and was actively involved in rhino monitoring and security for the better part of ten years while in service of the Mpumalanga Parks Board.
After completing his post-graduate studies in environmental management, he was part of monitoring team surveying vegetation across South Africa and managed a research site for three European universities on animal behaviour for four years.

He is a qualified trails ranger and his taste for adventure has taken him down roaring rapids in his kayak, up to cloud base in his paraglider and across the Indian Ocean to distant islands on a sailboat.
Currently he is running his own business enterprise called Perception Travel, providing personal guiding services for the discerning traveller, while preparing himself for a small climbing project on Everest!

The Safari Golf Tour programme provides an ideal multipurpose holiday whatever the final composition of the participants’ golf ability levels or preferred destinations.

The programme options are completely flexible and provide golfers with an opportunity to play some of the country’s finest courses, while taking in some of South Africa’s most popular wildlife, cultural and tourist attractions.
